Scuttled #5

Mono conversion of yesterday's shot & last of this series. If anyone is interested, these wrecks are on the west bank of the River Wyre in Fleetwwod & well worth a visit. They continue to decay & change as a result: I've shot them several times over the years & found something new every time!

Clearly this subject has captured you...
Dave Carrington: It has, Larry. I've shot these wrecks several times over the years & they still fascinate me!

The reason for this visit was a request from a friend who wanted me to accompany him to try out a DSLR for the first time: what better location for it?

Very stark Dave. I don't normally favour b&w but this works very well
Dave Carrington: Cheers, Chris. Glad you rate it!
Really nice skeleton. Gives a desolate feeling and emphasises the landscape emptiness. Very nice!
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Marion. It's a stark & desolate location, yet also very photogenic!
Excellent image Dave. I might have to pay a visit to view these.
Dave Carrington: Hi, Stanger! They're well worth a trip if you get up to Fleetwood, Bernie. smile
Yeah - I like this more than the colour version - it's more directly graphic.
Dave Carrington: So do I, Tom, if I'm honest!
superb in b&w Davesmile
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Tim! smile

DC it's lovely to see you took time out to visit that wondrous place, I am in need of a visit to your neck of the woods, love your recent stuff.
Dave Carrington: Hey, you rare but welcome voice! smilesmile

Let me know when you're thinking of another visit: I'll rally the old 'Coast-huggers': would be like Sam Peckinpah's 'Wild Bunch' taking on a whole army of Mexican bandits: we might not win, but it would be great fun in the doing, so to speak...obviously without the bloodletting..! smilesmile
