Low Water

The clouds seem to just skim the surface - they're flying lower than the pilots from BAE!
Dave Carrington: Taken on one one of those typical days when the light across the estuary changes by the hour: more to follow...

the depth and low low cover make me feel safe here. i would just run and run. maybe if i jumped up a bit i could reach and skim some cloud? ~S.
Dave Carrington: Hello, stranger: took me a while to realise who you is!
This is a great stretch of water where the light changes constantly: you would like it, I think...

Dave Carrington: Hi, Mal. Thanks for saying so. Ribble estuary is a cool place!
Good work capturing the atmosphere.
Dave Carrington: Hi, Martin. Glad you think I've done a good job!
Amazing !
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Florence!
I had better have a look at my version of this shot. You have rendered it well fellow mud hopper. I don't remember it looking so low. It looks as though you could reach up and touch the clouds.

This would be a good shot for the new template as a pano.
Dave Carrington: Agreed, fellow mud hopper: a good day was had by all!
A lovely sky and so full of drama, I have a similar minimal composition, spooky eh....
Dave Carrington: Yep...spooky it is...but good!
What a fabulous photograph. I love the sense of the sky pressing down on the shoreline. Superb processing, too. (:o)
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Ros. Glad you like it! smile

It really is a place of heaven touching earth--mystical and ethereal.
Dave Carrington: It really is a wonderful part of the Fylde coast: you'd love it, I'm sure!
This is excellent, I really like the processing as wellsmile
Dave Carrington: Cheers, Nigel!

Intense.
Dave Carrington: Thanks again, David.
Love the claustrophobic effect in this one - low clouds reflected in water. It's like being in a sandwich!
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Ian. That's a novel observation...a prawn sandwich, maybe? smile
