photoblog image Clouds and Waves

Clouds and Waves

A similar view but completely different feel than Monday's post,  both taken at roughly the same time of day during the same month but two Summers apart!

I've borrowed the title from a poem by the Indian writer Rabindranath Tagore: you can find it here.

DC this is one hell of a shot, I just adore the washed out colours and the movement evident therein, one of your best for sure.....
Dave Carrington: Hi, Shooter. Praise indeed: I'm glad it meets with your approval!
The slow shutter speed creates a quite surreal effect. Those clouds must have been shifting.

The neutral palette completes the picture. Likey.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Al. Fleetwood comes up trumps yet again!

Dark, brooding and intense. Just my sort of cuppa. Sterling work.
Dave Carrington: Thanks for trawling through my archive & taking time to comment: it's much appreciated!

Dave Carrington: Thanks, Mal!
I have sat here and looked at this for several minutes. All I can say is, I wish I could create as good an image as this.
Dave Carrington: Thank you, William. All I can say is I'm flattered!
That is a stunning shot. The wave action is caught at a perfect moment. It makes the shot very dynamic.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Michael. Glad you like the dynamics!
Absolutely lovely. The water feels very alive.
Dave Carrington: Hey, Jewla. The Sea never rests: it's always alive.
This is number one for your images in our Fylde Coast Exhibition! Fabulous Dave.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Jose. We must get the ball rolling on that...
Mesmerizing. I can't tell you how much I love this photo. Definitely one of my all time favorites.
Dave Carrington: I'm glad you like it, Suzanne. I'm also flattered that it ranks as one of your faves! Thank you. smile
