This is a cracker and rather steals the thunder for a project I am working on for my art course. I discovered a painter, Bill Jacklin, who for me produces paintings and prints which have a strangely photographic quality much like your image. I have been working on some images trying to recreate his style. It is your inner artist struggling to get out. Check him out here http://www.bjacklin.com/paintings.html
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Al. Like Bill Jacklin's stuff. I have been called an artist before, but often preceeded by P**s!! smile
You know that bit where Richie Benaud says, ' for all you youngsters watching out there, that is the most perfect example of the cover drive' well this is the most perfect example of how to use thirds.(cobber)
Dave Carrington: Ah, the rule of thirds: this beach could be renamed pool of turds...estuary mud holds sway here! smile
Wow, a masterclass in perfect composition, and also the well worn cliche of `less is more`. In this case, however, it could not be more appropriate. (:o)
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Ros. Praise indeed!
Like it very much Dave. So simple but everything about it is right for me
Dave Carrington: Glad you like it, Bill!
love it, it defnitely reminds me of something, I can't remember. A LIKEY
Dave Carrington: Hi, Patrick. Glad you like it!
Very simple but hugely effective. I like the deliberately blurry figures.
Dave Carrington: Sometimes 'blurry' works well, but you can also shoot them all afternoon to no avail! This one works for me...smile

It's one of those pictures that 'captures the moment' perfectly - and not just the action but the atmosphere too.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Ellie!
