This is right up my street reminds me of a painting be Luc Tuymans an artist I discovered in my studies. http://digiphotology.shutterchance.com/photoblog/163077.htm
Dave Carrington: See what you mean, Al. I hadn't heard of him: thanks for the link!

thats really interesting Dave, personally would like to see the face fill the frame more, sort of gets lost in all that darkness, but its certainly got me thinking, nice one.
Dave Carrington: Hi, Tim. I did try other versions, but this one just spoke to me...smilesmile

sorry Tim, I disagree. I think the face occupies the perfect space for the crop
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Paul. I did mess about with different crops but this one seemed right!

somehow reminds me of David Lynch's work. very nice
Dave Carrington: Hi, Regis. Lynch's work is usually unsettling which is exactly the mood I've tried to achieve here.
I would love to shoot more images like these. Very nice
Dave Carrington: Glad you like it, Atunbi!
Well it's an oringal take to me, I like it.
Dave Carrington: Hey, Nig: missed this one! Thanks for the comment smile
