Rock shop

Blackpool's North pier again. This kiosk sells Blacpool rock, a hard sugary confection, to anyone who doesn't value their teeth!

The pier has stood since the early Victorian era but I'm not sure if these kiosks date that far back. There is something 'Russian' about their architecture which I find appealling.

wow....really wicked shot. is this an hrd? the tones, colors and effects give it a completely surreal effect. i love the way the lamp and kiosk stand out so vibrantly against the sky, bench and boardwalk. the sea and the sand make for an amazing background. prey tell, how did you get these effects....they are brilliant!
Dave Carrington: Hi, Nicole: yes it's an HDR image converted from a single exposure.

I'm with Nicole on the WOW grin dunno how you did it, but the effect is mind-blowing.
Dave Carrington: Hi, Mia. Glad you like the shot!
Great rendering of this familiar view point. I like the toning and the luminosity in the clouds, envious!
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Alistair. It's surprising how much mileage is left on North Pier!
