photoblog image La nuit Americaine

La nuit Americaine

This is Blackpool's central pier under September sun which looks more like moonlight!

The title is a  phrase coined by a French film director for a technique  often used in Hollywood  where a 'night' scene was shot in full sunlight using filters, usually to save cash!

I've used a UV filter for this shot, which generally doubles as my lens protector, & PP'd using curves & shadow/ highlight adjustments.

You've captured the glow from the water beautifully Dave, I also like the sheen from the roof's of the buildings. Framed and hanging this is a real eye pleaser. Mal
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Mal. Glad you like the shot!
Nice panoramic frame for this very good picture smile
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Zebi.
