photoblog image Apologies to Claude

Apologies to Claude

This is a reflection in a stream which I've rotated 180 deg. I've tweaked the tones, cropped out  the bank on either side, & added a slight vignette. I think it has an impressionistic quality, hence the title!

Not quite Giverny but a good impression! Very arty.
Dave Carrington: Long way from giverny: It's actually the stream in what's left of the Woodland Gardens behind Stanley Park!
Absolutely beautiful!!
Dave Carrington: Hi, Suzanne. Glad you think so!

It doesn't look like a photograph, it looks like either a painting .. on silk, possibly, or a piece of relief with traces of golden metal showing through.

My first reaction when this opened was that I wasn't sure, but the image has grown on me. You don't need to apologise to Claude, not at all.
Dave Carrington: Hi, Ellie.I think it has a look of Tiffany glass also, but not as pleasing to look at! smile
Yeh,Looks like a later years Monet when his hands and eyes had gone, eye catching stuff.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, David. I know the feeling...
