Tyre Lips!

An arbitrary act of vandalism can produce a surreal image: this is some poor kid's bike cast into a park lake: such is life & art combined.

Fairhaven or Stanley?, could be the aftermath of some kid trying to relive one of Evel Knevels finer moments.
Dave Carrington: Stanley! Stunt-biking is a little radical for genteel Fairhaven Lake!
As for the aforementioned kid, he's probably lying in the six feet of duck cr*p that lies beneath the eighteen inches of water in the lake!

If they ever dredged Stanley Park lake, how many sunken 'duck-boats' do you reckon they'd find? Ah, memories of a misspent childhood...smile
some day I hope be able to take one of this, brilliant.thanks.
Dave Carrington: Hi, viruta! I'm sure you will soon!
Here is something! Ive got an irrational fear of things sticking out of water. Oil rigs really unnerve me and buoys freak me right out.
Anyway, this isnt my therapists session, back to the picture - do you what this reminds me of? The space station in 2001 A Space Odyssey. In a way!
Beautiful tones in the water and i generally dont really like to use the word surreal but in this case i thinks its fitting.
Loving this - to the max!
Dave Carrington: You obviously have an overactive imagination, Eddy!
what's wrong with surreal, anyway?
Chuffed you like this one: it's an old shot that I've always liked.

Magic!
Dave Carrington: Hi, Ellie. Thanks & glad you like it!
I am temptd to make a very none PC comment but I will resist. And just say, inspired simplicity. Great one Dave, you have a cultured eye.
Dave Carrington: I've just realised that my title could be construed rather un-PC: certainly not my intention! It's just a tyre that looks like a pair of lips...
Simplicity can produce good results!
As for my cultured eye, it's usually somewhat bloodshot smile
love it. so perfect smile
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Tomas. Glad you think so!
Dont have a problem with surreal as a concept - just the misuse of the word. People generally use it when they see something weird but i'm sure we all know it means much more than that.
Sorry - i'm just having a Stephen Fry moment and getting all uppity. Dont get me started on the mis use of the words 'blatantly' and 'patently'!
Dave Carrington: How about the constant misuse of both 'infer' & 'imply'? Always worth a good rant, eh? smile
Great image - nuff said!
Dave Carrington: Thank you, Michael. I have to admit I do like this one!
