Deadhead

No, it isn't pavement pizza! I took this last November in Florida: every morning, the pool was littered with these dead flowers. Effectively, the sun turned the pool into a giant light-box which produced some great effects.

I've also tweaked this one with the Peyote button...

...and, yes, it is similar to a previous post but also different!! :-)

Delicate and disturbing, winning combination.
Dave Carrington: Tastes like chocolate never tasted before...
Very intriguing and attractive. I so wish the turned over edges were not there!
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Alistair. They floated so precariously on those air bubbles that the slightest movement caused them to shrivel up: I did try to unfold some but to no avail! :-(

I love this picture...I think the fagility of it all is the main feature, and you have captured that nicely. Similar flowers drop in the pool in my apartment complex, but the darn maintenance staff always seem to clear then away before the sun can do its stuff.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Ray. You'll just have to tell them to be late one morning! smile
