Timbers

These are ships timbers from an old wreck on the banks of the River Wyre in Fleetwood. I'm feeling like an old wreck myself due to a trapped nerve in my lower back: old wreck in front of & behind the camera today! :-)

Alistair Parker ( digiphotology.shutterchance.com) kindly ferried me up to Fleetwood today then made me wade through acres of mud,  pose in derelict buildings, all the while laughing at my painful predicament, & generally taking the piss: how I suffer for my art! :-)

Only joking, mate: had a great time as usual!

This is very zingy - i thought AP was the zingy one out of you two? Cant fault the subject matter and composition but the treatment is a bit too intense for my tired old eyes. Saying that for all i know it may look like that i reality and ive made myself look foolish (for a change!).
Dave Carrington: Many happy returns!
We are the Mick & Keef of the Fylde Coast photographic fraternity: I am the human riff to AP's lyrical integrity!

Re. shot: thought I'd do something different with these wrecks, 'cause they've been done many times before...
As Daves personal chauffeur it comes as no surprise to be treated as a door mat. I take him to all the best photo locations and all he can do is disparage me! These arty types are all the same. Just to show you did a bit of modeling see this one http://digiphotology.shutterchance.com/photoblog/70262.htm

As you can see there is no sign of a limp!

Well Dave this is certainly different, I think it must be the tablets or the physiotherapy caus the colours are not like that on my version. Great texture for a bit of frottage though.

Good afternoons work thanks for the company, enjoyed it. I am a bit worried Eddy thinks I am Zingy! Which one am I Mick or Keef?
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Zingy. Frottage has a rather unfortunate alernative definition: there's the rub, as they say...

Yep, had a good afternoon out!

Looks like you have been nicking techniques from Boje or Gonzo gallery as he now likes to be called! Even without me specs on this looks crispy and i like it even more for it! On a bad back note I sufferd for 35 years saw everyone did everything and as I was getting my knackerty knee sorted mentioned it to the physio and he gave me one little exercise and now Im back leaping around like Donald O'Connor, thought I'd share that moment with you......
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Max. Crispy is praise indeed smile

I used to do a nifty rendition of the whole of 'Singing in the Rain', playing all the parts simultaneously: boy, am I gonna miss that gig...

That is crisp, and bright. Looks as if somebody wiped a bit of soot over it all, lovely colours.

I notice that Max hasn't told you exactly what his 'secret' exercise is! Hope whatever it is eases soon.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Ellie. I think at some point the hulk has been set on fire, hence soot!

'Secret' exercise has connotations I hadn't thought about: maybe I should talk to my Parish Priest..smile
