Ridges

I am fascinated by these sand formations & have scores of shots of sand.

'Trainspotter!',  I hear you cry: well, living in Blackpool, there's about seven miles of the stuff, so you tend to shoot what's at hand..:-)

If i'm feeling generous, I'll share some more with you all...

I'm with you on the joys of shooting sandy ripples (I have one on tomorrow myself!) and I hope that Rioja is a damned good crianza (I love a bit of oak in my reds!) but either my monitor is needing recalibrated, the Rioja has taken over, or the Fylde coast has gone a bit er.... cyan!
Looking forward to more in days to come!
Dave Carrington: Mmm...does look a little cyanic: over-egged the pudding, I did! Must have been the wine...
have you tried cropping? might work here.
Dave Carrington: I did try different crops, but decided to stick with this one!
Not sure why everyone wants to crop things as if too much sky is a bad thing. I think everyone is conditioned to TV screens and monitors and can't see a 'bigger' picture. Anyway I know that when you are looking in this direction, it is just sand and sky when the tide is out but David has a good point even if it's analogous to wine and am inclined to agree! But that sand formation is quite something though.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Jose. You're both right about that cyan: too hot! Wish I could say the same about the weather! smile
Well I can't see any cyan cast, looks OK to me. I share your fascination with these strange creations.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Alistair. Maybe our next journey to the heart of darkness should involve sand? smile

Lovely simple composition...
Dave Carrington: Hello! Glad you like it. I believe we missed each other earlier this week by minutes? Maybe next time!
