photoblog image Sunshine

Sunshine

Another pier shot.  I've been looking at this one for ages, but  just not seeing anything.

Yesterday, we went to see Danny Boyle's new film 'Sunshine' & I came out all inspired. Oh, and I nicked the title as well!

It's the  best British Sci-Fi film for decades so get down to your nearest Multiplex & give it a watch!

Well that's an interesting variation on a theme. I was struggling to recognise what it was, it looks like an interference effect. Makes a great abstract. You do have a thing about scifi movies, I can't get excited about them. Must be due to an overdose of Dan Dare and the Mekon as a child.
Dave Carrington: I do like good Sci-Fi, yet my favourite film is set in sixteenth- century Japan & my second fave is a western!?
Glad you like the abstract treatment here: it certainly boosts the original shot.

Dont know how I missed this one! This could be Blackpool DNA or funked up bar codings, great treatment, great image. Last Sci Fi I watched was the last part of Highlander on BBC3 on Sat night......next time I'll just apply the Black and Decker to my temple and be done with it! Taking child 3 to see Sunshine!!
Dave Carrington: Sunshine is in a different galaxy compared to the 'Highlander' series. It has it's flaws but, overall, is a visual triumph on a meagre budget. Let me know what you think of it...
