Isn't it odd when people leave things like this on the beach when they go home?

I like the way you've composed this picture and also how clear the whole thing is.
Dave Carrington: I agree, Ellie. I think there's a real sense of loss to this shot: perhaps that's my soft Dad side coming out! I know any of my kids would have been upset to leave these precious things on the beach! smile
wow, this is a wonderful shot!
Dave Carrington: Thanks for dropping by & commenting: glad you think so!

When the picture first loaded I thought it was of an empty beach until I scrolled down to see the bucket and spade. I like the way you composed this too. The time of day that you took this also adds to the shot.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Mike, Glad you like it!
Well spotted Dave, great colours, you didn't see Soggy Dog while you were down there did you?
Dave Carrington: Sorry, Alistair, no Soggy Dog, I'm afraid :-(

That stream needs a dam building over it.........I can't help it...hmmm could use that bucket and spade......oi easy on the vapour trails that's my leitmotif apparently!
Dave Carrington: LOL: dams were always good, but the best doss was digging a pit with massive walls & waiting for the tide to come in & seeing how long you could last before becoming inundated. Probably something deeply Freudian there...
Leitmotif?! Bit of a poncey opera boy, are we? smile

Married to a double 1st musician, it kind of rubs orrfff on one don't you know!Have entertained many a French beachlover these past 20 years with my 'Blackpool Speedboats' facing out to sea, bit of a dab hand at the ol sea creature sculptures, you see, you can take the lad out of Blackpool but.....

Good framing that enhances the title. And the blue bucket compliments that wonderful sky.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, David. Glad you like it!
