Sea of Holes

Several acres of these concrete nuts make up part of South Shore's sea defences. When the tide's out, almost every one of them is a mini eco-system: just like rock pools, really.

Well spotted! I like the geometric composition and the high contrast rendering.

Hi - I like this one - great repeating geometrics.
Did you take one in landscape format too?
Dave Carrington: Yes, I've shot quite a few variations on the same view, but this appealled to me most!

Now that's somewhere I'd like to explore.

Wonderful repeating pattern, you've made it look good. I'd like to learn how to do that. smile
Dave Carrington: It's relatively easy, Ellie: just point & shoot, as the actress said to the Bishop..smile

I do not often comment on tone in an image! Because it is pointless on a digital screen but this is different, very lovely image. mal
Dave Carrington: I'm not worthy, master...
Like very much your composition and the choice of colortone !!
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Zeb!
