Oh yes, that works a treat. Blackpool was on Alan Marr's 'History of Modern Britain' tonight. There was a lovely shot of Central Pier and the Big Wheel in glorious sunshine. I didn't know it was where all the civil servants were evacuated to during World War II.
Dave Carrington: Hi, Jose. What they didn't tell you is that after the end of the war, they buried them all upright on central beach close to this very spot! This practice inspired Antony Gormley to create his famous work due 30 miles due south of here...smile
Tha'ts beautiful and it looks like an oil painting ! A golden reflect on the city.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Florence. I'm pleased you like it!

See, now that you told me what it is I don't have the chance to hurt my neck and scratch my head, just put me hand over the Pier legs and it becomes more'head scratchy' Like the colour range you've got in here!!
Dave Carrington: Colour range coaxed forth with levels & curves alone. Phew...

Lovely shot Dave. I really like the way you must have been hanging upsidedown to bag this! lol. Top shot. mal
Dave Carrington: One of my many skills is the ability to walk on my hands: the world makes much more sense from this position, although it can be awkward using public transport.
Amazing shot , really good!
Dave Carrington: Hi, Ade. Glad you think so!
Amazing picture... Lovely gold colors, and nice effects...
Dave Carrington: Thank you, Roland!

Achieved a similar result shooting through failing windscreen wipers during a real downpour ... saved on the fiddling about afterwards. Nah Great image.....
Dave Carrington: Yep, that would certainly achieve interesting results!

Dave Carrington: Hi, Nev. I like 'trapeze type' shot: coined a new style there! smile

Glorious colours and textures which go together to make a picture with impact
Dave Carrington: Ta!
Master Nightingale would be proud of you, my son. Go in the knowledge that he will bless your Big Wheel.
Dave Carrington: Hey, Drewb! The Pontiff of Blogdom is far to pious to pass judgement on the lowly Shutter serfs! smile

Another example of your keen eye for an image. When did they put the wheel back?
Dave Carrington: Cheers, Alistair. I think about a week ago?

I thought it was the CND symbol as it came up on my screen, but its way better than that.
Dave Carrington: Ta, Lil.
