photoblog image Pleasure Beach Trip

Pleasure Beach Trip

Had a wet saunter around Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Thursday afternoon with Alistair Parker.( who can be seen centre left in this shot! ) It started out wet & became wetter thanks to this wonderful summer we are not enjoying!!

This is a reflection in a gold & silver effect metal fascia which has turned out rather Dali-esque & slightly nightmarish, which has nothing to do with Digi's presence, I hasten to add! :-)

Nice one Dave, very flattering, at least it makes me look about 3 stone lighter!

Frustrating afternoon, marginally better than getting under the wifes feet!

I notice you are using the irritating FADE effect, grrrrr.....
Dave Carrington: Hola, companero! What has happened to the shot you posted?!

I think the faded look comes from the weathered condition of the metal cladding: I've altered levels, curves & slight crop. The silver cladding was in much worse condition than the gold, I noticed.
I really like this. It certainly has turned out well. Love the colour and the abstract shapes, and I love the detail of Alistair hidden in there. (:o)
Dave Carrington: Ta, Ros. I never tire of these reflection shots. The distortions they produce are often weird but never boring! smile

I don't know why, but this makes me think of an Indian painting although the detail clearly shows otherwise, I think it might be the rich reds and golds.

Nice to see Alistair, in a slightly Lowri-esque pose wink
Dave Carrington: Hi, Ellie. This image reminds me of the Santana's 'Abraxas' album cover painting by Mati Klarwein.

Alistair is looking svelte & cool here: he has a career in modelling, I do believe! smile
