Like it, I have tried to photgraph this type of scene several times but have never achieved a good one, well caught.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Les. It was only after a slight crop that I decided this shot was worth posting!

Nice one Dave, I like the minimalistic feel to the image. I've added it to my Likeys.

Does that mean I am a "coast-hugger" too?
Dave Carrington: It do! smile

love it Mr C, so so simple, love the tone. Very well hugged! lol. mal
Dave Carrington: Cheers, Mal!
Simple but so stylish. (:o)
Dave Carrington: Hi, Ros. Less is often more!
Thank-you for the compliments Dave and the posted image, it certainly does have the ingredients for a coast hugging shot, given that I coined the phrase consider both yourself and the old fella Alistair Top Dog CH's.....
Dave Carrington: No problem, Dude! The 'old Fella' (arf, arf!) & I are honoured to be part of that elite crew! smile
It's the sense of scale and the low horizon and the beautiful simplicity that I love. Great image.
Dave Carrington: Hi, Jose. The figure is a simple focal point that lends a sense of scale here. Glad you like it!

I like this, I like the scale and the emptiness. I like the low horizon and also how the picture appears to break the photographic rules we're all meant to abide by.
Dave Carrington: Hi, Ellie. Before I cropped this, it was a text-book 'thirds' shot! It's all the better for being adulterated, I guess.

Nice texture in the sky.
Dave Carrington: Hi, Peter. I've added grain & a gaussian blur to achieve the texture.

Dave Carrington: Oops...late reply: this is a summer evening shot over here. Waiting for the sun...
