Low Water 2

This is the same stretch of water as yesterday's shot, taken on the same afternoon.

As you can see see, the light changes by the hour: it's a photographers dream!

The sky breaks up the layered composition to make an appealing shot.
Dave Carrington: Cheers, martin. 'Thirds' would have been more traditional, but would have lost some sky!

beautiful composition
Dave Carrington: Thank you, Alek!
Very crisp, great skyline, the addition of the birds in the middle gound works well. Would make a great pano.
Dave Carrington: Can't go wrong for a good skyline on this estuary, eh?
Great sky, that gasometer does get in the way though. Great lighing with a little help from nature as well.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Les. The light across the estuary is always interesting even with the gasometer! smile

I love this kind of landscapes. Very clean and moody. The irregular horizon line breaks the monotony of it all and the creepy sky makes it gloomy. And I like gloomy smile
