This is the best. The glass-like water and the golden colour.
Stunning.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Michael. This is where I live: I've shot these piers (we have three) hundreds of times, but this series of pix is by far my favourite & I'm glad you have enjoyed it!

Beautiful. The colors, framing, clarity - everything works really well. I'm jealous of your camera and talent! wink
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Jewlya. That camera you're jealous of almost fell into the sea shortly after I took this shot: tripod lurched over in some soft sand & I only just caught it in time! smile

I would agree with Michael, this is superb....
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Shooter: hoped you'd like this one!
Hi Dave - I think this one is a cracker as are your other pier shots. If I can venture one criticism of the pier series its re yesterdays and the flock(s) of birds which I might have been tempted to clone out (althouh this might have proved a wee bit time consuming). Anyway, as someone who enjoys coastal images your images are inspirational and make me want to get down to the sea again and again (when my camera is fixed after its soaking last week!). Mike
Dave Carrington: Hi, Michael. Yes, I did consider removing those starlings, but was too lazy, if I'm honest! Hope the camera is soon up & running again!
Oh wow! This is just so gorgeous. I`m lost for words, so I think I will just sit here and enjoy it. (:o)
Dave Carrington: Take your time, Ros, and just enjoy it as long as you wish! smile

The stillness of this picture, the colors, and the details of the silhouette are luscious.
Dave Carrington: Glad you like the calming quality here: that was exactly my intention with this shot!

Superb, and perfect timing too, you must have caught the tide at slack water.

... and is that a vapour trail I see?
Dave Carrington: Yep: right place, right time, Ellie. Left the vapour-trail in for Max...smile
