Darkness Follows...

Back to Piers & ABS once again! Had another chilly wander on the beach again today. Light was great, as ever. Just as I was about to pack it in, I bumped into the only other soul keen enough to freeze his bits off in the pursuit of his artistic endevours: Dave Nightingale. Check out the link!

Dave Carrington: Thanks, Patrick! smile
You are going to get into trouble picking up people on the beach in Blackpool!

How come DN's image is more colourful than yours? Where you a bit late getting there? Oh yes and the horizon isn't straight.

Are you getting the impression I am not too keen on this one? Sorry DC.

actually I am just jealous that I did not make the effort to get down there myself!
Dave Carrington: Hi, Al. No, I was actually wandering around for about an hour before I bumped into DJN & this was taken some time before. I purposely desaturated this shot to try to get away from the typical reds/ blues associated with ABS! shots!

And another sunset bites the dust, very nice Dave, and to my mind much better than Mr. Nightingales image )but he does have some crackers on there as well),must go down and see if Southport Pier can oblige again one of these days.
Dave Carrington: Cheers, Les! Get yourself down to that pier...

Lovely atmospheric shot Dave, but I think Alistair is right the horizon isn't straight but I wouldn't have noticed so I measured it!!
Dave Carrington: There's just no pleasing some folk...smilesmile

I actually like the gentle colours in this, makes the picture show the faded glory of the pier.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Ellie. The muted tones befit this shot: a change from the usual sunset.
