Waiting For The Sun

You can't tell from the shot, but the wind coming off the sea was almost strong enough to blow me over this afternoon. Last night, a few miles up the beach, the wind & waves caused a 'ro-ro' ferry bound for Heysham to run aground!

This is a gorgeous shot, Dave, the bird in the center a great addition to the fabulous sky.

The sky looks hopeful with its patch of blue. How lucky you are to live near the ocean. This is one lovely and unique photograph of sunrise over the ocean.
Dave Carrington: We get some dramatic skies on this coast & I never tire of them(as you can see!!) smile

This is a wonderfully atmospheric shot. When I saw the ferry on the news, I thought a few SCs might be out there...
Dave Carrington: I've not been up to the wreck yet. I've seen shots on other blogs & I have to say it's not the most interesting subject!

Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned I hadn't enough dosh to pay the ferryman the other day! Nice light and tones held onto therein!
Dave Carrington: Thank you kindly, Maximus agricola.
What a wonderful shot! I like the crop. The bird is a bonus here
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Richard. Heard these birds called many things, usually unkind, but never 'bonus'! smilesmile

Beautiful photo. It captures the emptiness of the sea wonderfully.
