Imagine a beach...

An exercise in Minimalism: maybe not a great blog image, I guess, but it might look better on a wealthy person's wall! :-)

A very quiet, simple and zen photo, David.I can imagine islands on a glass like body of water reflecting the color a sun just set. Images like this set free our imagination. Does one have to be wealthy to enjoy it? smile
Dave Carrington: Zen indeed, Suzanne. No, one doesn't need to be wealthy to enjoy it: it would be good if the wealthy patronised one's work though! smile

I think it looks good, but also think you're right that it's one of those shots that would look much better printed and framed than it does on a screen.

I like it a whole lot. Often it's hard to say why with photos like this. Suzanne summed it up pretty well..quiet, simple. I'd add warm. There's no tension here...it feels very safe, I guess? Not sure that makes any sense.
Dave Carrington: Makes perfect sense: I like to impart a sense of calm with my stuff: I like the emptiness & solitude that seascapes can bring.
Your'e not going to get much more minimal than this! If I took it I would stick it on my wall, and I'm not even wealthy...smile
Dave Carrington: Har! Neither am I, Nig!!
Yes I can see this as a big print. nice one Dave!
Dave Carrington: Thank you, Bill! smile
it looks good on both...

"show me the money!!"

Cheers

Rob
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Rob!!
I like it. I think it needs to fill a wall for real effect.
Dave Carrington: Agreed, Ian!
I also like it - aside from the calm, gentle dark form I think it's the grain that makes it work
Dave Carrington: Glad you like it, Harry! smile
it might and good luck Davesmile
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Tim!
Have to sell the one for looooots of money. Though this person might not be so wealthy any more after purchasing this one :-D
Dave Carrington: In my dreams, Paul!! smile
