Those kites look superb against that angry sky
Dave Carrington: Ta, Zedder!
I can't decide whether it's pure surrealism or sheer eeriness... Anyway, unsettling (as every true work of art). Such a mysterious source of light you've managed to catch...
Dave Carrington: Just eerie sunlight, really...smile
super shot Davesmile
Dave Carrington: Ta, Tim! smile
Beautiful how the colours of the kites stand out against the grey sky. I also like the absence of people in this particular case...
Dave Carrington: Had to scare the people off with threats of extreme violence...shame really, 'cause they were just kids... smilesmile

nicely done Dave
Dave Carrington: Many thanks!
That ray of light falling falling in the right place against the moody sky. Nice one Dave.
Dave Carrington: I was very lucky with the light here, Ronald!
Wonderful shot. Light and colors are impressive. Nice frame!
Dave Carrington: Merci, Monsieur Poly!
Outstanding. Kites never looked so menacing. They appear to be creatures unto themselves.
Dave Carrington: Kites, along with clowns, can be strangely menacing...

Wow, I just now found this image after looking at the others. It's incredible.
Dave Carrington: Thanks for trawling through my work, Sherri: glad you found something you like!

It's a challenge to keep it fresh & interesting...

Looks like a genuine sighting, all right. smile
Dave Carrington: It do indeed: X-files on Fleetwwod Beach! smile
Surreal Dave, great piece of pping .
Dave Carrington: Just goes to show Fleetwood still has some mileage left in it, eh? smile
Great contrasts, dynamic shot!
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Nig: glad you like it, Matey!
Super! We also had such kites on the beach a month ago.

Very dramatic image. A bit too noisy. Light is excellent.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Paul. I think the amplified noise came from boosting luminosity (?): how could I reduce this?
I use Noise Ninja (from PictureCode) to remove noise. I'm very happy with the program. I think it would work very well on this image. You can download it and use it for free but if leaves a watermark until you buy a license.
Dave Carrington: There's always a catch, isn't there: buying a license!! I've used noise reduction in CS2, but it doesn't always work too well. Most noise seems to be in the blue channel & I've found it seems to unbalance images when I try to correct it...
OMG, this is so amazing Dave...I love humour of this photo...beautiful...
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Gabor! smile
