Indeed, it looks like a modern temple--I hope no one is sacrificed up on top...
Dave Carrington: Indeed, Larry. A few sacrificial Mancunians would not be missed...

It might stop the rain in this
Somewhere inside Winston Smith is working in the ministry of truth
Dave Carrington: Now that is more pertinant than it was in 1984, Bill...literally...

Looks like a temple dedicated to Mammon! Love the majesty of this and the brilliant pairing of colours.
Dave Carrington: Mammon indeed, Ingrid. Colours here were a gift: I had to wait some time for the Sun to come out at just the right point to light the top of the building.
Great image Dave...whether you spent 30 minutes waiting for the light to get "just right" or could hardly grab this quickly enough before it passed, this is a great example of how fine nuances of lighting can make all the difference. This "looks" like it's an image about a building and clouds, but it's another one of your great studies of light and color. Kudos!
Dave Carrington: Yes, Alan, I had to wait some time for the Sun to come out & light the top of the building. I also used a polarizer to deepen the contrast.
An incredible image Dave. Brilliant.
Dave Carrington: Ta, Ronald: glad you like it!

Lovely shoot Dave ... But I've never seen Lego bricks this colour before.
Dave Carrington: You clearly had a deprived childhood, Richard: I had many yellow Lego bricks along with the red, blue, & white ones. Mayhap 'twas a Northern issue to reflect the grimey, soot-stained bricks..? smile
WOW !!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic! Looks very unprocessed smile

Colors, composition are great.
Dave Carrington: Unprocessed is not part of my vocabulary! smile

Hey, that title is very, very clever... love it! ;-)
