A lot to like in this one Dave, the sand texture, pier perspecitve and composition, blanced by a blokesmile
Dave Carrington: Ta, Nig: a one legged bloke to boot! Maybe on his way to an arse-kicking contest perchance? smile
Great comp' Dave..and the pano' effect with the B&W work well. Nice one.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Ron: glad you like it!
Really like how you've captured the texture of the sand Dave - excellent shot.
Dave Carrington: Thanks, Bernie! smile
I am able to cope with this Dave ... and for a long time too. richard
Dave Carrington: Thank you, Mr. Trim. Glad you feel up to cope with this one: the strategy must be working... smile

A Blackpool classic (Blackpool, right?)... human figure adds that little extra...
Dave Carrington: It is of course, Sam!
A classic "under the pier" shot with a touch of human interest, nice one Dave.
Dave Carrington: Hi, Les: the one-legged geezer adds some balance... smile

Great achievement.
Dave Carrington: Ta, Fabrice! smile
Yes, great stuff. I don't go for vignetting usually, but here I think it helps to give the sands their supernatural glow.
Dave Carrington: I do like the odd vignette(!), Ian. smile
Oh, another film allusion (or illusion?)! wink
This time, it could have perfectly been 'Les 400 coups'...
Dave Carrington: Hi, Guillermina. Yes, I can see the connection, although I wasn't consciously aware of it when I posted this shot!

I love 'Les 400 Coups': it's the best of Truffaut's series of films revolving around Antoine Doinel. In fact, I would go as far as saying it's his best work...what say you?
I couldn't agree more!
Dave Carrington: Ha! You clearly know good Cinema: as a linguist, I'll wager you have seen 'Padre Padrone'? I must admit that cinema is often a big influence on my work! smile
superbe traitement
bonne soirée
